Darcy
Darcy
Darcy is from a feral colony across from Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth. She was found huddled against a curb on a busy street, apparently trapped while trying to cross. No one knows how long she was there before a golfer picked her up and ended her miserable status. She was sick and starving.
A local rescue provided a foster for her and she immediately became a part of the foster cat/kitten family.
Darcy is litterbox trained and eats both dry and wet food. She likes to have her dry food available for grazing during the day. Se can be convinced with Temptations.
She loves toys, especially with a dab of catnip on them. Darcy has high energy and loves to run and scamper a lot with other cats or kittens. She loves to groom them and sleep with them; this is probably a holdover from her early days in the colony.
Darcy is not a cuddler. Instead, if she likes someone, she will approach them and make friends first, not the other way around. Her new owner should love to sit and read or watch TV with Darcy sleeping in his or her lap. She’s great for this sedentary, calm activity and will stay in the lap for hours!
A cat tower and lots of fuzzy, soft toys are her venue. Darcy would love to be adopted with her friend Poppy, although it is not required. However, Darcy must go to a home with cats.
Calico cats are sometimes considered good fortune pets. Darcy is the perfect example!
Darcy arrived at the Casual Cat Café on 5/29/2025, and she has an estimated birthdate of 7/1/2024. Darcy is sponsored by Gerlyn.
If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out her online application, here: Application Link
