There’s no rivalry like sibling rivalry, which Teddy & Pearl will only too happily demonstrate. In a vie for love and scritches, holding out your hand will instigate a race for attention.

Teddy is quick on his feet; he’s usually the first to cannon his noggin into your palm, but Pearl is a strategist, and she’s learned how to intercept him. It’s anyone’s game.

The only solution is to sacrifice two hands so that each cat can have their own. If possible, they would appreciate a third hand. If similarly possible, a fourth hand would not go amiss, to make the distribution of affection even. Five hands are also acceptable. So are six. And seven. Eight is a little egregious.
